Unionville Festival: celebrating community

Kick off your summer with one of Markham’s most beloved community traditions, the Unionville Festival, returning June 7 and 8.

While this year’s event will look a little different, the heart and soul of the festival remain as strong as ever.

Due to the exciting Main Street Restoration project, the 2025 Unionville Festival will take place at Crosby Park and the Unionville Curling Club parking lot.

“Though we’ll be pressing pause on the parade this year and scaling things back slightly, the fun, energy, and community spirit you know and love will be in full swing,” said festival chair Sonia Chow.

Whether you’re a longtime local or a first-time visitor, the Unionville Festival is a celebration of everything that makes our historic village so special – vibrant culture, family-friendly fun, and the incredible people who bring it all to life. Expect live music, local vendors, delicious eats, and many activities for all ages.

And don’t worry – 2026 will mark the exciting return of the full Unionville Festival experience, complete with all the traditions you’ve come to cherish, including the beloved parade down Main Street.

“But for now, we invite you to be part of this special edition and help keep the spirit of the festival alive while supporting local businesses,” added Chow.

Mark your calendars for June 7 and 8, and join the fun at Crosby Park for the 2025 Unionville Festival. For updates and event details, follow @mainstreetunionville on social media or visit unionville.ca.
