Toy Mountain campaign returns to Downtown Markham
Residents are encouraged to donate a toy and help the Salvation Army and CTV Toy Mountain campaign build a mountain of gifts for families in need this holiday season at the Pride of Canada Carousel in Downtown Markham.
On Dec 11, CTV News will be there live at 6 p.m. to promote the annual toy drive. Community members are invited to bring an unwrapped toy and place it on Santa’s, AKA Danny Fantini, antique firetruck.
The firetruck will remain at the carousel on December 12 and 13 from 1–4 p.m. Organizers Lori Manserra and Santa Fantini will be on-site to collect donations and add them to the growing display. Everyone who donates a toy will receive a free carousel ride.
“It gives us great pleasure and is very rewarding to be able to help in any way we can to collect toys for children this Christmas,” says Santa Fantini.
