Get your Greek on at My Big Fat Greek Festival
Canada’s largest Greek festival is set to return to Markham this spring, bringing together community, culture, food and tradition.
On May 29 and 30, Signature Productions (SigProTo) will host its second annual My Big Fat Greek Festival in Markham at Sts. Panteleimon Church.
This year’s festival will feature live entertainment by Greek musicians Stan Antipariotis and the Droulias Brothers. Guests can also enjoy authentic cuisine from Greek Grill Toronto, with menu items such as chicken and pork souvlaki, Greek salad, and more.
A Greek Market will also be part of the festivities, showcasing local vendors selling crafts, gifts and artwork.
“After a long winter (especially this year), our festival is a sign of summer being around the corner, and people look forward to this event every year as a coming out party for the community,” says Chris Christofi, event organizer and co-owner of SigProTo.
Each year, SigProTo contributes $20,000 to the Greek Orthodox Community of Markham.
