Celebrate Earth Month and World Migratory Bird Day
Each Spring, bird enthusiasts welcome the return of migratory birds to our community. To celebrate, the City of Markham Environmental Advisory Committee MEAC is hosting guided bird walks and an event for Children and Parents.
The theme this year is “Every Bird Counts – Your Observations Matter.” These free events are opportunities to learn more about the birds nesting in our neighbourhoods, and what we can do to protect them and their habitat. It will be fun, informative and there are added benefits. Studies show that birding and getting out in nature are good for you.
