Oak Valley Health hosts free education fair

Residents looking for trusted health information, local resources and practical ways to support their health and well-being are invited to attend Oak Valley Health’s Patient Education Day at Cornell Community Centre on Oct. 21 from 9 to 11 a.m.

The free community event will bring health-care professionals, community organizations and local residents together to share information and highlight programs and services available to patients, families and community members.

Attendees can visit 20 information booths featuring health care experts from Oak Valley Health and representatives from community partner organizations. Visitors can ask questions, learn about available services and discover resources that can help make navigating health and wellness easier.

The event is open to everyone, including parents, caregivers, seniors and residents who simply want to learn more about their health and the services available in their community.

Community organizations taking part include the Alzheimer Society of York Region, Amica Unionville, Carefirst Seniors and Community Services Association, Community and Home Assistance to Seniors, Eastern York Region North Durham Ontario Health Team, Feet First Clinic and Markham Public Library, among others.

Drop in, meet local experts, ask questions, and discover the resources available to you and your family.
