Indoor recreation and culture facilities will remain closed for the summer but that doesn’t mean you can’t try something new or enjoy a favourite pastime.
Virtual art and theatre camps, virtual library programs and camps, and a Pop-Up Park Program for kids, as well as outdoor and virtual recreation programs, and outdoor and virtual fitness classes are all on the agenda this summer.

That’s not all. Morgan Park Outdoor Pool will be open – weather permitting – for lane swimming, aquafit, lessons, pool rentals, recreational swimming and aquatic leadership programs.
“Summer is around the corner and the City of Markham has you fully covered for a variety of safe and enjoyable activities,” Mayor Frank Scarpitti says. “Whether you prefer to cool off in the pool, exercise in a park or participate in a virtual program, there is something for everyone and I encourage Markham residents to enjoy what we have to offer.”
Outdoor programs will follow all health and safety regulations and will require pre-booking and a COVID-19 screening before each visit. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, drop-ins aren’t permitted.
