Two new parks open for summer

Just in time for summer, the City of Markham is home to two new parks.

Mayor Frank Scarpitti joined residents on June 14 for the park openings.

Barney Danson Park is located at 11 Grandview Ave. in Thornhill, while Heise Park
is at 11 Fred Wolstenholme Dr. in Markham.

The event included free family-friendly activities, including an ice cream truck and airbrush tattoos.
