Treewalk Village open for winter fun

Kids and families are invited to let their imaginations lead the way this winter while exploring the treehouse villages at the Treewalk Village Stouffville.

“As the days get shorter and the temperatures get colder, many families become less active and spend more and more time in front of the TV,” says Treetop Trekking marketing director Mike Stiell.

The Treewalk Village is located at Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area. During your two-hour experience, you can travel from treehouse to treehouse along wooden bridges and net walkways, then descend to the ground on slides and ramps. Other nature activities include mini-treetop courses, play nets and forest pathways.

“We hope to offer a fun and unique way for families to get outside and keep active during the winter, allowing them to spend quality time with each other and create new family memories while exploring our treehouse adventure parks,” Stiel says. “Keeping active, especially during the winter, has so many mental and physical health benefits for all ages, and that’s something we are really trying to promote with our activities.”

Treewalk Village is open Friday through Sunday this winter and will offer an extended schedule over the Christmas holidays and March Break. Reservations are required. Visit treetoptrekking.com to learn more. Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area is at 3291 Stouffville Rd.
