The Honourable Mary Ng recently hosted a virtual New Year’s Levee for constituents across Markham-Thornhill.

Following her appointment as Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, she reiterated her commitment to Canadians towards economic recovery.
The virtual event started with remarks from the Minister and a year in review, highlighting important milestones in Markham-Thornhill through the year 2021. This included meeting the local Youth Council, Lunar New Year with the Prime Minister, creation of 617 jobs through the Canada Summer Jobs Program, and the many holidays celebrated with the diverse community.
Performances from WongMo Trio, VYbE Dance Studio and Kashmia Balabaskaran were showcased, followed by a game of Kahoot – quizzing participants on Canadian trivia.
The virtual event, wrapped up with many of the attendees taking the opportunity to speak to Ng in smaller groups.
