Many Faces of Markham contest

The Many Faces of Markham contest is an annual initiative that supports the United Nations’ International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on March 21, 2021.

This year’s Many Faces of Markham contest theme is Working Together to Confront Anti-Black Racism.

The City of Markham is committed to being a diverse and inclusive city where everyone feels welcome and a sense of belonging.

Submissions should support the contest theme and can be made in the following formats: writing, video, artwork or spoken word.

The contest is open to students who live in Markham, from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Submissions close on April 23 and should be emailed to [email protected].

In past years, the community have gathered for this contest. However, due to COVID-19, there will not be any in-person components to the contest in 2021.

Contest details and forms can be found at markham.ca/ManyFaces.
