Markham Cycles invites you to don a bike-friendly Halloween costume and decorate your bikes with stickers, reflectors and lights for the group’s last ride of the season.
All ages and abilities are welcome to join the Halloween Glow Ride, a family-friendly ride at a child-friendly pace.
Participants will ride through the streets of Unionville, passing by the best decorated houses in the area. Markham Cycles will give away free bike lights for cyclists who don’t have one. A small number of bikes will be available to borrow for the ride, which will be accompanied by lights and music. Helmets are mandatory.
The ride takes place Saturday, Oct. 29. It kicks off at Markham Cycles’ community bike hub at the Markham Centennial Community Centre at 8600 McCowan Rd. just after 6 p.m. and continues through 8 p.m. Look for the shipping container with the bike mural in the parking lot. The event takes place rain or shine.
Participants are encouraged to post pictures using the #MarkhamCycles and #CityofMarkham hashtags. Follow @MarkhamCycles on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
