Declutter with Curbside Giveaway Days
Curbside Giveaway Days are back, which means it’s time to declutter.
You’re invited to place reusable household items marked ‘free’ at the curb in front of your home for others to take and enjoy. Giveaway items should still be in good condition for re-use or able to be repaired.
You should keep items you don’t want to give away close to your house or inside to avoid confusion. You’re also asked to keep sidewalks and fire hydrants clear. Place the items at the curb by 7 a.m. Consider donating unclaimed items to charitable organizations instead of placing them out for waste collection.
Those collecting items are asked to respect private property and not walk on people’s lawn or gardens. Don’t block traffic or driveways and don’t park illegally. Finally, only take items that are marked ‘free.’
Curbside Giveaway Days take place on April 25, May 23, June 20, Aug. 15, Sept. 19, and Oct. 17
