Bring your business idea to life this summer

A skin care company, swim school, landscaping company, dance studio and photography business are among the ventures local high school and post-secondary students have pursued through the Summer Company program.

Now it’s your turn. Applications for the entrepreneurship program, which provides $3,000 and hands-on training and mentoring for students aged 15 to 29 years who want to bring their business ideas to life, are  being accepted.

The program gives students the full experience of running their own business. “After being in the Summer Company program, we definitely see entrepreneurship as a career choice,” says Ashley Man, co-founder of Trophy Wives, a Summer Company 2021. “We were able to see such a variety of business owners, passions, skills and talents. The Summer Company program, alongside YSpace, has truly shown us that with such an amazing community supporting you, anything is possible.”

Applicants must complete a business plan and a cash flow statement using templates provided. Spots are limited and applications need to be submitted by May 30.
