International badminton challenge returns to Markham

A variety of ticket packages are available for the 2025 YONEX Canadian International Challenge, which will bring together elite athletes from around the world when it returns to the Markham Pan Am Centre from December 2 to 7.

“The City of Markham has become the badminton capital of Canada, with world-class facilities and a strong community where young athletes can develop the skills they need to compete at the highest level,” says Mayor Frank Scarpitti.

“Hosting the YONEX Canadian International Challenge further strengthens Markham’s reputation as a centre of excellence for badminton. I encourage everyone to come out and experience this exciting event and join in cheering on our hometown athletes Michelle Li, Brian Yang and the rest of Team Canada as they compete against some of the best players in the world.”

The tournament will feature the full roster of Team Canada, including 2025 BWF World Championships bronze medalist Victor Lai, four-time Olympian Li and four-time Pan Am medalist Yang.

“Canadian badminton is going through an incredible transformation,” says Bryan Merrett, executive director of Badminton Canada. “The YONEX Canadian International Challenge is the showcase of that transformation – where fans can catch the current and future stars of the game.”

The following ticket packages are available for purchase: Championship Weekend (December 5 to 7), Preliminary Rounds (December 2 to 4) and All Event (December 2 to 7).
