Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking suspects and witnesses following a robbery at a pharmacy in the City of Markham.
On Tuesday, June 14, at 7:15 p.m., York Regional Police responded to a pharmacy, located in the area of 16th Avenue and Granton Drive, for a report of a robbery.
YRP said that officers learned that two male suspects, one armed with a firearm, entered the store and demanded money and drugs. The suspects obtained a quantity of cash and medications before they fled the scene in a vehicle driven by a third suspect.
Fortunately, no one was physically injured.
The three suspects were all described as male, Black, approximately 16 years of age, thin builds, both wearing gloves, black face masks and dark-coloured hoodies.
Investigators from the Hold-Up Unit remind business owners of the importance of maintaining and updating video surveillance equipment. Quality images help to identify suspects, can aid in arrests and have a tremendous impact during court proceedings.
