Victim sustains minor injuries following staged carjacking

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are appealing for witnesses following a staged carjacking which occurred in Markham.

On March 3 at approximately 11:40 p.m., at Highway 407 and Warden Avenue, the victim had his Black Rolls Royce forcefully taken from him by suspects. He sustained minor injuries.

The suspect’s vehicle, a white sedan, hit the victim’s vehicle from behind. When the victim exited the vehicle to assess damage, he was assaulted by two suspects. The two suspects fled the scene in the victim’s Rolls Royce, with a third suspect following in the white sedan.

Three suspects are described as male.
