The Union Villa Dinner Party, the largest fundraising event supporting Union Villa Long-
Term Care, returns with a promise to serve up plenty of appreciation.
“This year’s theme, With Love, Union Villa, represents a sentimental message of deep appreciation for your continued support throughout these challenging times,” organizers say.
“Your commitment has been essential and has allowed them to do what they do best: care for their residents.”
The signature fundraiser is hosted by the Unionville Home Society Foundation and kicks off with an online silent auction that runs from Monday, Oct. 24 at 4 p.m. through Saturday, Nov. 5 at 5 p.m.
The Dinner Party will be held Friday, Nov. 4 at Angus Glen Golf Club on Kennedy Road in Markham and features a raffle and entertainment. Cocktails begin at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Net proceeds will be invested in programs, nursing equipment and technology, all of which are all crucial to advancing the long-term care experience, organizers report.
Previous fundraisers have supported an Alzheimer’s Wing, a new Union Villa home, replacement of resident beds, mattresses and critical nursing equipment, enhancements to main resident living spaces, music and art therapy programs, and continuous upgrades to resident garden spaces.
