Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are seeking suspects and witnesses following pharmacy robberies in the Cities of Markham and Vaughan.
On Wednesday, January 6, 2020, at approximately 12:20 p.m., York Regional Police were called to a pharmacy on Steeles Avenue, west of Kennedy Road in Markham, for a report of a robbery. Officers learned that two suspects entered the pharmacy and demanded access to the safe. Police say the suspects took items from the safe and fled from the scene.
At approximately 12:45 p.m., the same suspects attended another pharmacy located on Steeles Avenue, west of Hilda Avenue, in Vaughan. Police say the suspects ordered the occupants of the store onto the ground while they stole a quantity of drugs and cash.
The suspects were both described as male, Black, approximately six feet tall with slim builds, wearing masks and hoodies.
No one was physically injured during either of the incidents.
