‘Spoke-tacular’ Halloween joy ride
JoyRide 150’s Halloween jam returns October 24th, with activities running from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Join the event, running since 2010, for activities throughout the day.
The Little Ghouls Limbo kicks off the day, where young ones 10 and under compete to see who can get the lowest for a chance to win prizes.
Wear your costumes to bring the energy and compete in the best costume contest for candy and a chance to win a prize.
The fabled pumpkin long jump is back where bikers jump over a growing line of pumpkins. Gather around to watch or participate.
The Halloween jump line contest brings bikers of all skill levels to put together their best tricks and treat the audience with a line of their choice. Prizes are available for podium finishers in each skill class. Entry for this contest is $20 per person.
“Halloween Jam is one of our favourite days of the year! Kids in costumes, big jumps, and riders of every level sharing the park,” said Dave, owner of Joyride 150. “Whether it’s your first lap or you’re chasing a podium finish, the whole family can join the fun.”
The day will also feature the Tristan Connolly Memorial ‘Rider of the Day’ Award, recognizing the rider who best demonstrates what BMX is all about by showing up with heart, riding with positivity, supporting others, and pushing their own progression with courage.
