SHErides summit brings women and girls together for a day of riding, connecting

Joyride 150 Indoor Bike Park will host the SHErides Summit on February 6, bringing together women and girls ages eight and up for a full day of riding, learning and connection in a supportive, inclusive environment.

The summit was created to provide a welcoming space where women of all ages can come together to meet fellow riders, work on new skills, and grow together through shared experiences. The event addresses a long-standing gap in women-focused cycling opportunities by creating an environment where participants feel supported and inspired to begin, continue, or advance their riding journey.

“As someone who has attended female-focused riding events looking for confidence, a chance to try new things and grow, all in a space that truly felt welcoming, the SHErides Summit is incredibly personal to me,” says Lyndsey Thomas, co-owner of Joyride 150. “This event is about creating the kind of experience I wish existed more often: a place where women and girls can show up exactly as they are, support one another, and grow together on bikes.”

“Riding can be intimidating, especially in environments that don’t always feel designed with women in mind,” Thomas adds. “The SHErides Summit isn’t just about one day, it’s about empowering women, creating connections, and helping women take the next step in their riding journey.”

As Canada’s largest indoor bike park, Joyride 150 offers an ideal setting for an event of this scale, with diverse terrain, year-round accessibility and programming that supports riders at every level.

The day will also feature keynote speaker Lana Starchuck, along with Breaking Barriers: The SHErides Panel Discussion, where inspiring women from the cycling community will share experiences and insights on being a woman in a traditionally male-dominated sport. The summit will conclude with an expert-led breathwork session, giving participants a chance to reflect and reset after a full day of riding.
