Man charged with 5 counts of voyeurism

Investigators with the York Regional Police have charged a man and are appealing for additional victims to come forward in connection with a voyeurism investigation in the City of Markham.

On February 26, officers were notified that the suspect had used a hidden camera to record inside women’s washrooms. Investigators have confirmed that one of the washrooms captured in the videos was located at the suspect’s place of employment, a company located in the City of Markham.

Investigators also determined that the suspect was in possession of videos showing victims engaged in consensual sexual acts; however, it is unknown if the victims were aware they were being filmed.

The videos contained time stamps dating back several years.

Investigators are releasing an image of the accused as they believe there may be additional victims and are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
