Light up your live music with Candlelight Concerts in Markham
In the past few years, Candlelight Concerts has become a brand that most people have encountered online. Fever, the company behind Candlelight Concerts, has now brought these events to Markham. The next shows being on July 13.
That evening, the Toronto Marriott Markham will be transformed into a glowing sanctuary of sound featuring a string quartet and thousands of candles (LED candles to be sure, fire codes are still fire codes). The experience aims to be unlike any other.
Two separate performances will take place that evening. At 6:30, the program will be A Tribute to ABBA, and at 8:45, it’s A Tribute to Queen and The Beatles. Each performance is ticketed separately. Seating is first come, first served within your ticketed “zone.” Latecomers will not be admitted.
Candlelight Concerts seemed to emerge a few years ago, first by filling up Instagram feeds with eye-catching images of dark churches filled with seas of glowing candles. The ads promised a truly unique evening of classical music. Now, the series has performed in over 100 cities around the world and has had more than three million attendees.
The ads continue, but now with many positive firsthand testimonials.
As the series has evolved, the programs have too.
It makes perfect sense that Markham is the next city to feature these events. And naturally, the folks over at Downtown Markham would love you to consider turning the evening into a local escape. Book a room at the Marriott, explore the dining scene, all as part of a stay-cation right in the heart of Markham.
