Want to get a better sleep? That’s among the health and wellness workshops being offered by the Markham Public Library this fall.
Participants will learn what normal sleep patterns look like as they get older, discuss ways to improve sleep and learn about helpful resources for better sleep. The program will be facilitated by staff from Health for All through Zoom on Thursday, Sept. 15 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Other health and wellness workshops include meditation. An instruction from Markham Yoga will lead participants though break work and other meditation techniques. All ages are welcome. The virtual event will be held Wednesdays beginning September 13 at 8:15 p.m. through Zoom.
Falls Prevention in Older Adults, Chair Yoga, Yoga for Older Adults, Living Well with Chronic Pain, Joyful Family Yoga, Separation Anxiety in Toddlers and Preschoolers, Understanding Dementia and Alzheimer’s, and a Hearing Screening Clinic are also among the health and wellness programs being offered by the Library this fall.
