Cycling Day returns with Tour de Markham

Markham Cycling Day returns with the Tour de Markham, community group rides, children’s races and live entertainment.

Tour de Markham is a family-friendly group ride that invites cyclists to travel on a designated bike route to visit various landmarks and communities throughout the city. Choose the 13-kilometre or 30-kilometre route. A parent or guardian must accompany cyclists aged under 10 years.

Each cyclist must have their own bicycle in good working order with a functioning bell or horn. Bike rentals are not available. Cyclists under 18 years of age must wear a properly fitted bicycle helmet.

If you’d like to promote your business or organization or would like to host a booth, email [email protected]. To volunteer, visit www.markham.ca/volunteering for more information and/or to register.

Markham Cycling Day will be held Sunday, Sept. 25 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Markham Pan Am Centre at 16 Main St., Unionville. The children’s races are for kids aged three to 10 years. A parent or guardian must register riders to participate in the races. Tour de Markham routes are subject to changes without notice so check for updates before the event. Light refreshments will be available.
