On Oct. 20, more than 250 local women came out to Main Street Unionville to celebrate the Second Annual Ladies’ Night on Main.
“The event is aimed at celebrating all of the inspiring and amazing women we know, as well as reminding everyone that shopping and dining on Main Street Unionville is a year-round activity,” said Sara Sterling, executive director of Unionville BIA.
Among the highlights of the night was the Fall Fashion Show hosted by Shibani Sahney from Silver Tulip and Nicole Mears from Pretty Thingz.
They showcased some of the beautiful gowns offered at Silver Tulip, as well as the fun and affordable accessories available at Pretty Thingz. The show was held with a packed crowd at Varley Art Gallery.
Many shops and restaurants also participated in the evening, offering specials and promotions to the participating ladies.
Lemonwood Luxury was busy all evening with in-store specials and nibbles, while both the Arms and Jakes had specialty cocktails available. Il Postino offered a discount on wine and appetizers while Old Firehall Confectionery had 15 per cent off all in-store items. Other participating stores and restaurants included Boreal Gateau, La Grotta, Yani Gourmet, Susannah’s, Tucci Armadio, JW Cosmetics and PM Pilates.
“My friends and I had a wonderful night, purchasing special items for ourselves as well as a few early Christmas gifts for others,” Unionville resident Janet Murphy said. “It’s so nice to get out and reconnect with everyone on Main Street, especially after the past two years.”
In addition to all the specials, promotions and fun, there were gift bag giveaways to those who pre-registered and live music at some of the restaurants.
