Learning how to grow your small business on Instagram and maximizing your company value are among the workshops the Markham Small Business Centre is offering as part of Small Business Month.
Small Business Week, which takes place during Small Business Month, is a national celebration of entrepreneurs and their contribution to Canada’s economy.
It takes place every year during the third full week of October and is an opportunity to recognize and thank local businesses for their role in creating jobs and supporting our communities. In York Region, more than 84 per cent of all businesses are classified as small, demonstrating just how critical they are to the well-being of our local economy, York Region notes.
Grow Your Small Business on Instagram is a Digital Main Street Workshop and Webinar Series offered on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Angus Glen Library at 3990 Major Mackenzie Dr. E., Markham. Among other things, you’ll learn how to use hashtags effectively and how to build a strong relationship with your Instagram followers that converts to sales.
