For 40 years, Addiction Services Central Ontario (ASCO) has been a key player in our province’s addictions services space; offering hope and promoting recovery for Ontarians struggling with substance use and problem gambling.
June 20 marks 40 years since ASCO was incorporated.
To celebrate this important milestone, ASCO will host a series of anniversary events across Central Ontario.
“As the lead agency for addictions within York Region, South Simcoe and North York, we are honoured to be a part of the healing journey of thousands of Ontarians,” said Penny Marrett, executive director of Addiction Services Central Ontario. “I am hopeful that this year’s 40th-anniversary celebrations will present the opportunity to not only recognize all that has been accomplished by our organization but to promote our message of hope and healing to our entire community as we look forward to the future.”
ASCO’s 2023 AGM, which will take place in the fall of 2023, will provide an opportunity to honour the organization’s past and present board members and executive directors and to celebrate 40 years of commitment to serving Ontarians living with substance use concerns.
