Enjoy an evening of Glitter and Gold

The Varley-McKay Art Foundation of Markham invites you to enjoy an evening of Glitter and Gold in support of the Varley Art Gallery of Markham.

Meera Methi, an artist who moves between mediums to ask questions about history, migration, memory, the body, cloth, labour and care, will offer insights into her creative process, inspirations and the stories behind her artwork.

The event, to be held Saturday, Oct. 5 from 7 to 10 p.m., also includes a fashion show led by Silver Tulip Boutique featuring designs from across India. Enjoy a live musical performance by House of Instrumentals featuring traditional South Asian instruments.

Glitter and Gold also includes Indian cuisine prepared by Ambiyan Indian Restaurant and beer by Rouge River Brewing Company. Finally, the event includes a silent auction featuring a variety of items and experiences.

The event will be held at the Varley Art Gallery of Markham at 216 Main St., Unionville. Tickets are $50 and are available by clicking this link.
