If your garden is your happy place, you probably have dozens of species throughout your gardens and home and can probably rhyme off countless more.
Now, you’re invited to discover ‘plants you have never seen before.’
Speaker Wing Hong Tse will discuss that topic at the next Markham Garden Club meeting.
The Markham Garden and Horticultural Society hosts speaker meetings and events to bring together people passionate about gardening.
It was established in 1920 with 58 members and in its early years, a trial rose garden was sponsored with bushes from California, Ireland, Great Britain and Canada. The group disbanded in 1941 due to the Second World War and reorganized 10 years later with 114 gardeners.
The next meeting will be held Monday, Aug. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Markham Garden Club located at 6041 Hwy. 7.
