Community Summer Festival set for sixth year

A celebration of diversity, connection, and community spirit through cultural performances and community activities returns with this year’s Community Summer Festival.

The J.A. Children’s Public Foundation (JACPF) is holding its annual event on August 19 at 10268 Yonge Street. 

The event includes local artists, including singers, dancers, and musicians. Members of the public are encouraged to take the stage to showcase their personal cultural performances.

JACPF has been a youth-led not-for-profit organization since 2022, founded by Alysha Xu. Through youth volunteers, JACPF organizes community cultural events, youth leadership programs, public speaking competitions, charity initiatives, and educational activities that bring together residents of different ages and cultural backgrounds.

The foundation is a Markham initiative that invites residents to attend its free events.
