The City of Markham’s Markham-Milliken Children’s Festival returned in-person in 2022. It was recently named a Top 100 Event in Ontario for 2023 in the York, Durham, and Hills of Headwaters Tourism Region category by Festivals & Events in Ontario (FEO).
“To return in-person after a two-year absence and be recognized as one of the best events in the province is a testament to all of the hard work, dedication and people who came together to make Markham-Milliken Children’s Festival a success,” said Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti. “Throughout the day, there’s something for everyone and fun-filled activities and entertainment for kids of all ages to enjoy.”
The Top 100 Awards acknowledge festivals and events that excel within the Ontario event industry and represent some of the most well-known and respected celebrations in the province. After a two-year break, 2023 marked the triumphant return of this prestigious award which was welcomed back on March 8 during FEO’s Annual Conference in Niagara Falls.
