Breast Health Centre celebrates official opening

Oak Valley Health celebrated the official opening of its newly renovated Breast Health Centre (BHC), aligning with Breast Health Month in October.

The event took place in the new 3,000 square foot space, with special remarks from Jo-anne Marr, president of Oak Valley Health; Dr. Crystal Pallister, General Surgeon, Oak Valley Health; Al Hamzeh, Patient Care Manager, Oncology Centre and Suzette Strong, CEO, Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Residents in Markham, Stouffville, Uxbridge, and beyond will continue to receive the safest and highest-quality care in a healing environment. The renovations improve the flow and traffic within the clinic for the over 4,000 patients that visit each year.

With the most advanced screening tools and an expert team of health specialists, the centre delivers “one-stop” coordinated care in a setting built for the patient’s comfort and privacy.

The new Breast Health Centre was made possible thanks to the generosity of donors, especially the Wright Family, and the important work of the MSH Foundation.
