Beyond Beauty Art Gala returns to Markham

Fight 4 Freedom (F4F) will host its second Beyond Beauty Art Gala on April 25 at the Toronto Marriott Markham hotel from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Proceeds from the event will support the Bloom Safe House and its ongoing operations to assist individuals impacted by human trafficking.

“Beyond Beauty is more than a gala; it’s a space where art, hope, and justice meet,” says F4F International Executive Director Mike Fischhoff. “It allows our community to stand with survivors in a tangible way and to be part of their journey toward healing and freedom.”

Guests can take part in silent art auctions, enjoy live music, hear from guest speakers and a panel discussion, and explore the art exhibit featuring local and international artists. The event will also offer hors d’oeuvres and networking opportunities for attendees to connect with art enthusiasts, advocates, and community members.

“What makes Beyond Beauty unique is that the art reflects real journeys of resilience,” Fischhoff says. “It allows survivors’ strength and dignity to be seen through creativity rather than through their trauma. It shifts the narrative from exploitation to empowerment, which is incredibly powerful for both survivors and the community.”
