Barkham Festival brings biggest dog celebration to Markham
Dog lovers and their four-legged companions are invited to celebrate at the annual Barkham Festival, hosted by the Markham Dog Alliance, on June 13–14 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Markham Museum.
The popular two-day event continues to grow each year, bringing together a vibrant community of dog owners, local businesses, rescues and charities for a weekend dedicated to all things canine.
More than 100 vendors will be on site offering a wide range of pet-related products and services, including dog apparel, accessories, food and treats, wellness services, charities and rescue organizations.
The festival will also feature family-friendly games, food trucks, breed-and-mix meetups, photo booths and other activities designed for both pets and their owners.
Beyond the festivities, Barkham has also become a boost for the local economy.
“Our vendors make record-breaking sales days, says MDA founder Greg Calleri. “Our community cares about local businesses, and they come out and show it.”
