You’re invited to attend an art show and sale fundraiser featuring work created by local artists to help the Varley-McKay Art Foundation of Markham continue to provide support to the Varley Art Gallery of Markham.
The Art of Plenty Art Show and Sale fundraiser will be presented at the McKay Art Centre on Main Street Unionville from Tuesday, Oct. 4 through Sunday, Oct. 16.
In a bid to ensure a diverse display of art, an event committee selected 15 artists to showcase and sell their work at the event – the first of its kind for the Foundation. Audience choice prizes will be awarded at the end of the event based on votes by visitors to the show.
The opening reception will take place at the Varley Art Gallery on October 4 starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 and include exclusive early access to the art show and sale. Visit www.varleymckayartfoundation.com to purchase tickets.

The Varley-McKay Art Foundation provides funding to help with art acquisitions, conserve the Gallery’s art collection, host educational programs and conduct exhibition research.
It also administers the volunteer program on behalf of the Gallery.
