Motorcyclist dies after fatal collision in Vaughan

Investigators with the York Regional Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal motor vehicle collision.

On August 16, at approximately 11 p.m., police responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a sedan in the area of Rutherford Road and Weston Road.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 39-year-old man from Vaughan, sustained critical injuries. He was transported to hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and was not injured. The investigation is ongoing.

Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, has information about the incident, or has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision to come forward.
