YRP striding towards Race for Plunkett fundraising goal

York Regional Police (YRP) is holding its annual Riverwalk Commons Race for Plunkett. The run/walk supports Special Olympics Ontario and pays special tribute to fallen officer Detective Constable Rob Plunkett. The event includes a 5-kilometre walk/run route and a 10-kilometre route for runners only.

The race is happening on August 5 at the Riverwalk Commons, located at 200 Doug Duncan Drive. The registration fee for each individual is $45 and includes a T-shirt and a chipped bib that tracks your race time.

YRP’s fundraising goal is $30,000 this year, with nearly $25,000 raised a week out from the event.
