York University wants to create a new type of School of Medicine – one that focuses on training family and community doctors to meet Ontario’s future health care needs.
The university’s plan for the new medical school has received wide support from health sector partners and governments in York Region.
York’s medical education will emphasize increased access to family doctors and other primary care physicians who are selected and trained to work in integrated health teams in the diverse and fast-growing communities stretching from North Toronto to York Region, Simcoe, and Muskoka.
Join the town hall to learn how York University is working to create positive change in health care and how you can help shape the vision for the proposed school.
York University School of Medicine Virtual Town Hall takes place Tuesday, April 19 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
