Unionville fire closes Carleton Rd for hours

Emergency crews responded to a house fire on Chambery Crescent this morning, near the Unionville Public Library.

All three occupants were transported to hospital. One with minor injuries and two with serious injuries.

Multiple homes were evacuated.

The blaze prompted the closure of Carleton Road for several hours, causing traffic backups on Kennedy Rd.

Witnesses reported seeing multiple emergency vehicles, including fire, police, and paramedic vehicles, responding to the incident.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
