Pet Lovers Charity Walk supports MSHF

On September 29, the 2024 Pet Lovers Charity Walk was held at Toogood Pond Park in Unionville.

This event, hosted by Ginny Chung and co-hosted by Regional Councillor Alan Ho, attracted numerous families and their beloved pets, fostering community connections and celebrating a shared love for animals.

As the opening ceremony, participants came together for a group photo to commemorate the occasion. Attendees then enjoyed a charitable walk around the park, where organizers and sponsors provided a variety of games, free pet nail trimming stations, and small gifts for pets.

Chung announced the impressive fundraising total, and following this, she and Ho presented a large cheque to hospital representatives Allen Bell and Matteo Paolucci. The walk raised $42,560 for the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation, which will use all proceeds to support essential services and patient care.

Chung and Ho expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all pet lovers, pet groups, sponsors, event committee members, and volunteers who made this event a huge success.
