By David Yin, Local Journalism Initiative reporter

Pacific Mall will host its second annual anime festival, “Bell Presents: Anime and Game Festival 2025,” from noon to 5 p.m. on Nov. 22, 23, 29, and 30.

This year, the festival will feature a Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) tournament at the mall’s north entrance, along with a photo zone.

In addition, the mall will present a stage show from 2 to 4 p.m. on both weekends, featuring an anime dance, a talent showcase, and a cosplay contest.

Plus, several vendors will be selling anime-themed merchandise and other products throughout the festival. The festival will also feature a lucky draw.

Wing Cheung from Pacific Mall’s marketing department said the anime festival offers fans the opportunity to meet local cosplay artists and anime dancers. In addition, Cheung said that cosplayers could win prize money, merchandise, or performance contracts by participating in the festival’s cosplay contest.

Cheung said this festival is also a way to attract customers ahead of Black Friday on Nov. 28.

Festival admission is free, but the Pokémon TCG tournament requires prior registration.

“Pacific Mall welcomes visitors of all walks of life,” Cheung said.

Pacific Mall is an Asian-themed mall located at 4300 Steeles Ave. E. Open year-round, it boasts over 300 stores and a Heritage Town area on the second floor, selling various foods and retail goods.
