Mary Ng, Canada’s Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, is used to drumming up business.
She recently took a turn at a very different kind of drumming at her annual Markham-Thornhill community summer Barbecue.
The event, held in the parking area of Crystal Palace Event Venue was a festive extension of her constituency work that no doubt drummed up some goodwill locally with free food and refreshments, family activities as well as live music and dance. That included the popular lion dance, a time-honoured tradition that is said to bring good luck and fortune and honour special guests to an event.
