Thursday Nights at the Bandstand returns this summer with live music at Unionville’s Millennium Bandstand at the corner of Main Street and Fred Varley Drive.
Organized by community-based Unionville Presents in partnership with the Unionville BIA, funded by dedicated community-spirited sponsors and Celebrate Markham, the series attracts talented tribute and original music artists to the outdoor Millennium Bandstand for all to enjoy free of charge.
“Our musical artists can’t wait to be back performing for our enthusiastic appreciative audiences in our unique, cool and intimate Millennium Bandstand,” says organizer Bill Dawson.
This year’s outstanding line-up kicks off on August 3 with Dancing Queen’s, ABBA Revisited and their tribute to ABBA, one of the most commercially successful pop/disco bands of all time.
The incomparable Rocket Man Elton Rohn with his magnificent performance and outstanding tribute to Elton John’s greatest hits returns on August 10.
The Epic Eagles featuring the incomparable harmonies of the Eagles will be One of These Nights on August 24.
Simply the Best will grace the stage with Tina Turner hits on August 31.
Night Fever with multiple dance hits of the Bee Gees is back on September 7 for another big dance night.
The series closes on September 14 with the Magic of Motown featuring George St. Kitts’ ensemble of outstanding musicians and the sounds of Motown.
