Music is in the air

Summer is in full swing and there are plenty of opportunities this July to enjoy the beautiful weather, and Memorial Park is the place to be.

There is something special about live music under the stars, or perhaps watching a movie with family and friends in the park is the vibe you are looking for.

Celebrate Canada Day with friends and family at Memorial Park to kick things off. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with live entertainment and a selection of food trucks. The night will end with a dazzling fireworks show commemorating Canada’s 157th birthday.

For a more calm and peaceful outdoor experience, there are few things more relaxing than live music under the stars. Memorial Park will be immersed by the music of the Kindred Spirits Orchestra, which will perform a number of classical and contemporary songs. Symphony Under the Stars will take place on July 19 and begins at 8 p.m.

A week later, on July 26, movie fans are invited to watch Kung Fu Panda 4 at Memorial Park. If the weather cooperates, the movie will begin at sundown, and a food vendor will be on site.

To wrap things up for July, Lady be Good will perform at 19 on the Park on July 27 for the second installment of this summer’s Patio Series. Playing a blend of jazz, R&B, and pop, Lady be Good will delight music lovers. The show will begin at 8 p.m., and gates open at 7 p.m.

“Our commitment to offering free and accessible events is crucial in fostering an inclusive community here in Stouffville,” said Cassandra Papas, Stouffville’s corporate communications supervisor. ”We hope all events are a raving success.”
