Markham Ribfest 2025 fires up July 4–6 with top BBQ teams
Markham Ribfest 2025 is set to sizzle this summer, bringing the community together from July 4–6 in Downtown Markham to enjoy mouthwatering barbecue from five of North America’s top rib teams.
Featured teams include Camp 31 BBQ, Sticky Fingers BBQ, Billy Bones BBQ, Boss Hogs BBQ, and Big Texas BBQ. Attendees can indulge in smoked ribs, tender pulled pork, BBQ chicken, smoked brisket, and beef “Dino” ribs.
Ryan Mandryk, a management team member from Camp 31 BBQ, emphasized Ribfest’s community impact: “Ribfest, at its core, when successful, raises money for amazing local organizations in every city it’s in. Every Ribfest that Camp 31 competes in has a charitable aspect to it, which is one of the main reasons why we work so hard to ensure its success.” This year’s event supports Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation.
Beyond BBQ, food lovers can enjoy treats from vendors like Funnel Cake Express, Slushy Bear, Tiny Toms Donuts, Billy Bob’s Bloomin’ Onions and Ontario Corn Roasters.
Great entertainment will be available over the weekend with DJ Sogrates and four tribute bands hitting the stage. Friday night features Keep the Faith, while Saturday brings Hip Check and Exodus. On Sunday, The British Invasion hits the stage at 4 p.m.
The event’s marketplace will showcase local artisans offering handcrafted jewellery, sculptures, candies, and more.
Families can enjoy a dedicated kids zone packed with a jumpy castle, face painting, and carnival games.
