Markham home to top-growing companies

For the third consecutive year, DSMA was recognized by The Globe and Mail’s fifth annual ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies, a list that ranks companies on three-year revenue growth.

DSMA (Dealer Solutions Mergers and Acquisitions) is a consulting firm that has reshaped the automotive dealership landscape in North America, completing more than 1,700 dealership valuations and 425-plus transactions over the past decade. It earned its spot at No. 227 on the list of 425 companies thanks to a three-year growth of 280 per cent.

DSMA hires locally-based mergers and acquisition advisors in regional hubs across North America to handle each step of their clients’ buy/sell process. Founder and CEO Farid Ahmad credits the company’s growth to its people. “We are proud to work with some of the most dedicated, hard-working and brightest individuals in the industry, who are the foundation for our continuous growth,” he says.

DSMA is among several Markham-based companies that made the editorial ranking, which was launched in 2019 with the goal of highlighting the accomplishments of innovative businesses in Canada. To qualify for the voluntary program, companies were required to complete an in-depth application process and fulfill requirements.

“Canada’s Top Growing Companies acknowledges the drive and ingenuity displayed by Canadian business,” says Report on Business Editor Dawn Calleja. “This year’s ranking serves as an inspiration for future business owners.”
