Help for those suffering from insomnia
If you suffer from insomnia, you know the frustration of falling asleep and/or staying asleep. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi) may help.
The Markham Family Medicine Teaching Unit Health for All Family Health Team will be hosting CBTi and teaching practical, evidence-based strategies to improve your sleep at the Cornell Library.
Participants will learn about normal sleep patterns and how to build healthy sleep habits, manage racing thoughts, and practise mindfulness and relaxation techniques to help them fall asleep and stay asleep naturally.
CBTi is a free, four-part series and will be held Tuesday, May 5; Tuesday, May 12; Tuesday, May 19; and Tuesday, May 26, each from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Register here. The Cornell Library is located at 3201 Bur Oak Ave.
