Explore Markham on two wheels this summer

Ride on this summer with Markham Cycling Tours 2021, complete with family-friendly cycling tours and pop-up bike repair booths.

“Cycling is a great way to stay active this summer and the Markham Cycling Tours are a wonderful individual and family activity to experience our beautiful heritage, open spaces and trail systems,” Mayor Frank Scarpitti says. “I encourage residents to get out, explore, and participate in this fun summer program that features augmented reality experiences.”

Markham Cycling Tours 2021, presented by Aviva, takes place from July 9 to August 15. Take any or all six cycling tours through local parks, trails and urban areas: Milliken Tour (6.7km), Buttonville Cachet Tour (8.3km), Berczy-Wismer Park Loop Tour (8.1km), Thornhill Royal Orchard Tour (7.9km), Rouge Valley Trail Tour (11km) and Cornell Three Parks Tour (8.5km).

The Cycling and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, an advisory committee of the City of Markham, reminds you to share photos of your riding adventures on social media using #MkmCycling21. Find and scan specially-marked tour signs to unlock augmented reality experiences for a chance to win prizes through the Totally Rad Markham Cycling Tours Giveaway.

Markham residents aged 4 to 12 can pick up a free children’s bicycle decoration kit and show off their decorated bikes on social media using #MkmCycling21!
