Experiment, explore and shop at Markham Farmers’ Market and Science Rendezvous
The Markham Village BIA will host a lively double-header celebration on May 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. along Main Street Markham.
The event marks the 25th season opening of the Farmers’ Market and the return of the popular Science Rendezvous festival, presented by York University in partnership with the City of Markham and Markham Village BIA.
This family-friendly event will feature fresh local produce, artisanal goods, and a variety of interactive STEAM activities. Visitors can enjoy hands-on experiments, live shows, and opportunities to engage with scientists.
Festivities will be centred in the Guardian Pharmacy parking lot at 102 Main Street North, with free parking available along Main Street. Robinson Street will be closed from Main Street North to Water Street between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. to accommodate the event.
Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to explore the market, support local businesses, and experience the excitement of science in the heart of the community.
