Enjoy tree lighting ceremony, skate party

You’re invited to strap on your skates and enjoy free hot chocolate and live entertainment at the City of Markham’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and Skate Party.

The event takes place Saturday, Dec. 7. The tree lighting ceremony with Mayor Frank Scarpitti and members of council takes place at 6 p.m. The skate party takes place from 5 to 8 p.m., weather permitting.

It takes place at the ice rink at Markham Civic Centre at 101 Town Centre Blvd.
